But more importantly, it means the Toffees are mathematically safe from the drop with three games to go, going 11 points ahead of 18th-placed Luton Town.
It comes after a miraculous week where they won the Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Wednesday night, a result that also all-but ended their rivals from winning the Premier League.
That followed a crucial 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest last Sunday to make it three wins in six days - without conceding a goal.
It is the exact scenario Sean Dyche would have dreamt of when looking at the fixture list ahead of the rest of Everton's matches.

The Toffees face Luton and Sheffield United next, the former fighting for their lives and the latter already relegated, though the Premier League seemed to throw doubt on that situation.
After a 6-0 drubbing by Chelsea just two weeks ago, some Everton fans would have feared the worst.
But Dyche has galvanised the side to lead them to safety after a difficult campaign that has seen them deducted points on two separate occasions.
The match against Brentford was low on quality, with Gueye providing the only real moment of note when he smashed home a first-time finish in the top corner after the Bees failed to clear their lines.

The Goodison Park crowd did not mind, though, as they celebrated wildly and applauded their players after a brilliant week of results.
They benefited from Luton's loss to Wolves earlier on Saturday, giving Everton the chance to confirm their safety with three games to go.
